Biography
Kelly J. Davis is an associate of the firm and a member of the New Mexico State Bar. Prior to becoming an associate, Ms. Davis served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Chief Justice F. Michael Kruse of the High Court of American Samoa, the Honorable Judge Kathleen N.A. Watanabe of the Kaua’i Fifth Circuit Court in Hawaii, and the Honorable Judge Timothy L. Garcia at the New Mexico Court of Appeals. During these clerkships, Ms. Davis performed legal research and analysis on complex civil and criminal matters, drafted judicial opinions, and recommended case rulings to the Court.
Ms. Davis obtained her Juris Doctorate magna cum laude in 2013 from the University of New Mexico School of Law, and was granted membership to the Order of the Coif following graduation. She was on the Dean’s List every year. As a law student, she received the Torts Scholar Award and published two articles in legal journals.
Ms. Davis has significant experience in civil and administrative procedures. Her practice also focuses on Employment Litigation, (wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, etc.) and administrative employment issues/investigation. This also includes representing small businesses in front of the Department of Workforce Solutions.
