What made you want to become an attorney?
In 2005, I began working at a firm for some of the current members of Business Law Southwest as a file clerk. As my job progressed, I started taking on bigger tasks and responsibilities and, in doing so, I became more interested in both the law and the legal profession. In 2010, with the encouragement of my bosses, I started law school at UNM. After all these years, I still work for the firm, but now as an attorney.
What is the most satisfying part of your job?
In my job, I am lucky enough to be able to practice both civil litigation and criminal defense. In both of these practice areas, the most satisfying part of my job is helping people. I enjoy having the opportunity and the ability to help our clients when they find themselves in a situation where they need to either enforce or defend their legal rights.
Aside from being an awesome attorney, what else are you great at?
Well, I don’t know if I would say I am great at it, but I think I am a pretty good baker, and I enjoy making and decorating different kinds of cakes and cupcakes for birthdays and other occasions. I also like to think that I am a pretty good mom since my son has turned out to be such an awesome person.
